Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and filmmaker. Alongside her stunning beauty, her continued success in the competitive film industry can be attributed to her talents as a performer. Her career began with a modeling job in the year 1970 then she rose quickly to prominence. In the early 1990s she was enrolled in the theatre and acting. Later, after that, in Los Angeles and California she appeared on stage for the first time. Russo debuted on screen on ABCs Sable drama series in 1987 as Eden Kendell. Two years later, she was Tom Berengers lover in Major League. Although she was initially skeptical of her abilities in the field of acting, critics were won over by her stamina. In Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak she was hailed by critics for how well she held up against Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman as well as other actors. According to her, she never had a passion for acting. The year 2005 was the time she was for a hiatus that was forced by herself. Her comeback was a part in Thor. The film also featured her in the Oscar winning film Nightcrawler, directed by her husband. The Intern, and Just Getting Started were humorous comedies in which she starred.

Rose Namajunas ranks among the top UFC female fighters. Her professional journey began by being an amateur, performing various regional competitions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. And later she joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. After joining the UFC in 2011 she was known as a household name because of the fame she achieved both on and off the Octagon. Namajunas is born June 29th, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrants family. Growing up, Rose was involved in activities like basketball and kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships signed the 18-year-old at the age of 18, and she was able to beat two opponents via submission. This caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to join the UFC Strawweight on December 14, 2014, when she was just 22 years old. Rose has experienced extremes and lows throughout her professional career. However, she's always come out the winner. Rose fought Carla Esparza at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in April 2015. The winner was given the Women's Strawweight Champion and also won Fighter of The Night. This was the first time that a female competed against a major promotion in a title fight. Namajunas had several successful bouts following this victory, which included defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk on two occasions. The win brought Namajunas Performance Of The Night accolades from UFC.
